Mahmuda Nayem from BTM '19 for became the Champion in “Women in tech” organized by Huawei.
Huawei started this program in Bangladesh to foster female ICT expertise and advance gender equality in the scientific and technology sectors. This program is specifically designed for female university students and recent graduates in STEM fields, and it was created in partnership with UNESCO.

On Friday, 3rd November 2023 Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of IUT arranged Esonance 2023 where a business case solving event was arranged. After competing against different teams from different universities from all over the Bangladesh Team Biznance Bees and Team Coffee Addicts reached to the final. We would like to congratulate Taiyeba Tasneem, Chowdhury Sarjia Faiza, Nuzhat Noumi and Fariha Tasneem from BTM'20 for becoming the champions of the event and Faiyaz Bin Shafiq from BTM'22 for becoming first runners up.

Rafsan EusufZai from BTM 17 and his team won the 1st runners up award in the Future Leader Congress 2.0
Rafsan EusufZai from BTM 17 and his team won the 1st runners up award in the category of World Youth Meeting providing the 2nd best presentation on the theme "Sustainable City 4.0" in the Future Leader Congress 2.0 held at United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand on 4th-6th August, 2019. Future Leader Congress 2.0 is a youth congress where 122 talented young leaders from around the world gathered together to take action in 4.0 challenges.

Ornob Muhtasim, Shafi Al-Islam, Mostofa Rafid Chowdhury and Azraf Iqbal from BTM'17 secured "2nd Runner-Up" position in "Dacoit of Excellence", an inter university business competition presented by Jagannath University Career Club and NRBC Bank where more than 150 teams participated to fight for the glory.

Mahir Kamal from BTM'17 secured the third place in the competition Techstars Startup Weekend at Sacred Heart University
Mahir Kamal from BTM'17 has competed in the Techstars Startup Weekend at Sacred Heart University and secured the third place in the competition. His team consisted of three amazing people, who are Richard Lin (USA), Charlotte Huntington (USA) and José David Romero Zanabria (Peru).
The event requires you to build a company of your own within 54 hours and pitch it in front of a panel of judges, experts and industry leaders. During this 54 hours, they were continously mentored by experts and entrepreneurs to solidify their idea and bring it into reality. The company they came up with is 'Level 5', a platform which lets you support local businesses and do social good through gamification by competing with your friends and families. Despite the cultural barrier and different time zones, they showed excellent team performance to convince the judges and make it to the top three.

BTM'19 secured 1st runners-up position in the Intra-IUT Novice Business Competition.
Casebites Quidditch, a novice business competition, organized by IUTCBS. This time the full competition was held online. The first round was case solving. Only the best 10 teams were selected for the next final round. It is a matter of great honor that out of the 10 teams, 3 teams including Team Lame Stream, Team B’sQuad and Team Marauders were from the Department of Business and Technology Management. Maruf Hasan Rokoni from BTM’17 won Internal Marketing Competition of Youth Opportunities.
Internal Marketing Competition of Youth Opportunities was held in Youth Opportunities Office at Software Technology Park, Janata Tower. The teams were constructed with young professionals and interns working at Youth Opportunities. There were three teams in the final. 'Team Possible' competed and won against 'Human Torch' and 'The Two Musketeers' in the final round. Maruf Hasan Rokoni from BTM’17 won the competition.

BTM Secured 2nd Runners-up in RUET IPE Day 2019 Business Case Competition
The competition had three segments. The first one included online case solving from which 23 teams qualified for the second round. 7 teams from BUET, 4 teams from RUET & 2 teams from IUT qualified for the on spot case solving with presentation. It is a matter of great honor and pride that one team from the Department of Business and Technology Management (BTM), IUT got selected for the final round. Team “Dark Wizards” consisted of Zizan Ayub Al-Khalil, Taki Tajwar and Md.Tansi Islam. The outstanding speaking and the extraordinary slides made by team members amazed the judges. The judges questioned them hard enough but they didn’t break down and passed with clarity with the best answers. Their presentation, slide making skill and tackling of the Q&A round made them standout from the others."Dark Wizards" was announced as the 2nd Runners-up of competition . We hope this is just the beginning of the journey towards many successes to come ahead.

The first one included online case solving from which only seven teams qualified for the second round which was the on spot case solving with presentation. Only the best five teams made it to the final. It is a matter of great honor and pride that out of the five teams, two teams were from the new department Business and Technology Management (BTM). One of the team “Desert Fox 3.0” consisted of Shuvo, Nuzhat, Mahin and Faria. The outstanding speaking of Nuzhat and the extraordinary slides made by Mahin amazed the judges. The judges questioned them hard enough but they didn’t break down and passed with clarity with the best answers. Their presentation, slide making skill and tackling of the Q&A round made them standout from the others. The results too came as expected and Desert Fox 3.0 was announced as the champion of INTERN. We hope this is just the beginning of the journey towards many successes to come ahead.
